有國民黨立委23日建議，雙十國慶應比照中秋節，在10月11日彈性放假1日，讓假期連續以促進觀光與國內消費。行政院長江宜樺回應說，如果非民俗性節日也要彈性放假，一年就可能因此增加5至7個假日，對經濟生產活動與產業界會造成較大衝擊，因此不會比照辦理。
江宜樺表示，事實上政府對放假的規定已有放寬調整，如為民俗性節日，包括端午、清明、中秋等遇到周二或周四，則會在周一或周五彈性放假1日。
